The Warsaw office of Noerr, a German independent law firm with offices in Germany, Alicante, Brussels, London and New York, will be run by managing partner Karol Kicun as an independent law firm Reon Legal from 28 June 2024. This is the result of Noerr’s withdrawal from Central and Eastern European countries.

Noerr is a one of the leading German and European law firms. It has offices in five countries, partners with top law firms worldwide and is the exclusive member firm in Germany for Lex Mundi, the world’s leading network of independent law firms with in-depth experience in 125+ countries. In Poland, Noerr has been present since 1992 with a focus on advising German, European and US corporate clients on their investments in the Polish market and the CEE region.

As of 28 June 2024, the activities of the Noerr office in Poland will be continued by the independent law firm Reon Legal, headed by attorney Karol Kicun, managing partner. He previously headed the M&A (mergers and acquisitions) practice in Noerr’s Warsaw office. Karol Kicun is an expert in commercial and corporate law. He has advised many clients, including private equity funds and founders of private companies, in complex M&A transactions and joint ventures, both on the selling and the buying side. He has particular experience in the energy, eCommerce/FinTech and FMCG sectors.

Reon Legal provides comprehensive legal advice on banking and finance, real estate, antitrust issues, litigation (especially corporate litigation) and ongoing corporate matters. An important specialisation of the firm is the handling of mergers and acquisitions (M&A), private equity (PE) and venture capital (VC) transactions, both on the sellers’ and the buyers’ side.

“I am extremely pleased that Reon Legal will continue Noerr’s more than 30 years of productive presence in Poland. From the point of view of Noerr’s clients, nothing, apart from the name, is changing. They will be served by the same best lawyers on the market, meticulously taking care of every legal aspect of their businesses. We also welcome new entities wishing to place their problems or challenges requiring legal support in good, trusted hands.” – concludes Karol Kicun, managing partner of Reon Legal.

Reon Legal will in the future be cooperating with Noerr in the Polish market.

“We have decided to withdraw from the Central and Eastern European markets and to focus on cooperations in the region in future,” noted Noerr managing partner Alexander Ritvay. “This allows Noerr to offer clients the continuation of their matters or future support from other law firms in the high quality they are used to.”
